Q: My tripod was used in sea water yesterday, should I do anything to take care of my gear?

A: After the sea water use, you should clean the leg section, flip locks, and threads locks involved in the sea water use by warm water and soap. You may need tools(i.e. screw driver) to take the flip locks out of the leg section. Metal components like screws and nuts need special treatment as put them in mixtures of warm water and descaler for a few minutes.
